I just wanted to stick this up here to let everyone know about the “Where The Wild Things Are Movie” just in case they haven’t already heard about it. I can’t wait for this movie it’s going to be amazing!

Daang!

So yea it has been a really really busy week, I feel like when I get something done something else roles in right in its place. So I have not been able to finish up any of my designs :( But hopefully this weekend I can finish up some of those designs, as well as get a photoshoot for all my stuff as soon as I get another design or two made into shirts. But even though I have had a lot of work it has been nice keeping busy. Also I am hoping to get a lot more stuff out there in the next month or so, so be on the lookout. I am really excited because I have thinking up and planning a lot of new stuff and if all goes well I’ll be able to role out those plans one after the other. One last thing, so today I saw an article written up on my business and I thought that was pretty awesome. I’ll post it up on the finished press section of my website sometime this week.

Screen Printing

So Sunday I printed 100 shirts for this band called Sun Araw, they’re based down in L.A. and they found out I made custom shirts through a series of people. Till then I had not really been doing shirts for other people because I have been so busy with other stuff, mainly with Electric Threads Corp. and school. Most of the time I would tell people that I did not do that anymore, but I thought it would be cool to print some shirts for this band. It was cool printing shirts again, during printing I thought of how I might wanna do custom shirts for people again. I thought why not, I can do Electric Threads Corp, school, and a printing business. Also I didn’t really notice till Sunday that I actually enjoy making shirts it’s a fun process. So I am thinking about launching a website sometime soon for a custom screen printing business. I mean why not it can be a source for some extra money, if it grows I can use the business to help me pay for things in college next year, it will help me get money to help Electric Threads Corp. grow more, and most of all it is a fun thing to do, why not :)

So whenever I get this website launched with a name for the business and all the technical stuff that goes along with it, I will post up a notice on the blog. Also I will be sticking it in my links section of the website. I’ll be posting some pictures of that whole process of making the shirts tomorrow, so you can check those out. Last but not least I am in the process of finishing up designs, so be on the look out for those :D

Facebook

I was sitting here in my photo class and I just relized that I have not put up my Electric Threads Corp. facebook on the website yet. I will have to do that as soon as I get home. But for now anyone that has a facebook here is my ETC page.

What A Week

So the past week I have been on vacation and I have been quite busy. I started on a new shirt design which I am almost finish with. Also I have been doing an art project that is actually coming out pretty cool and might make it a shirt eventually. But one of the bigger things I did this week was go to Montery it was pretty cool my family, my girlfriend, and I all walked around and went to the aquarium. It was pretty awesome since it had been awhile since I had gone there.

Last but not least I took some photos for my zebra shirt with my girlfriend and I am pleased with the way they came out :). I’ll be updating the rest of my shirts with photos of people as soon as I release my next design.

Meet Today In Paradise

Hey everyone meet Today In Paradise. They’re a new up and coming Inde/Pop/Christian band, based in San Jose, California. This band only consists of three people Aaron: Bass, Derek: Guitar and Vocals, and Ty: Drums, but together they make some pretty awesome music. They have only been around for a month or so, but they already have two shows planed in Feburary. Also they are already in the process of recording a bunch of songs, so be ready to see what they have planned. What they currently have on their myspace is only a sample of what their music is going to be like. So keep an eye out for them because I can see a lot of good things happening to this band. Check them out: Today In Paradise.

A Look At Life: New Stuff

So I was just checking up on A Look At Life which is one of my sponsored bands and I was seeing what they have been up to lately. I saw that they had a new song on their myspace called “How The West Was Won.” It is a really cool song and I recommend checking it out on their myspace: A Look At Life.

Also you should keep a look out for them because they have some more up and coming shows that are just around the corner, one Feb. 11 and one Feb. 21. You can get more info on their myspace. Once again I really recommend checking them out and keeping an eye on them, because they’re stuff just keeps getting better and better.

I was just checking out some videos on youtube and I always like to look at the speed art beacause it’s always so cool what people will come up with. This is a cool video because it shows the random wall art people do and come up with. Check it out!

How I Met Buck

So my mom, sister, brother, and I were all driving back home from school when we passed this deer that was just chilling in front of this guys porch. We really thought it was odd that it was just sitting there especially with the dogs barking and all. The guy that lived there heard the dogs and came out to see what was up. He said that we could come and pet it and he told us the whole story of how it got there. He said that for a couple of days he saw it sitting there by the creek bed and he thought that the momma deer had just let it into the wild to live on its own. But when he went to go look the mom was dead it had been hit by a car. So he took it in and bottle fed it to help it live and named it Buck. Now he lets it just roam around his yard and when it grows into a teenager it’ll leave by itself to go live in the wild. It was a pretty cool experience though and I have to say how often do you get to pet a baby wild deer!?

Electric Threads Corp. and Africa "Continued"

Ok so in my last post I talked about how I just released a new shirt and how half of the profits were going to the women and children of Mekanisa, Ethiopia. If you did not read my last post yet, it is right below and it has all the information of what the proceeds of these shirts are going to. I just got some pictures from Sherry Hadley who is the womens director of Evergreen Valley Church, who travels to Ethiopia to help these people. The pictures show a lot about how they live and what they have to go through on a daily basis.
